Contest rules
Draft — pending review by counsel. Not yet in force.
Last updated: 7 November 2026
1. No purchase necessary
No purchase necessary. In phase 1 every contest on toga.tv is free to enter. You do not pay, buy or bid to take part, and paying gives no advantage. Void where prohibited.
2. A contest of skill
Every contest is a game of skill. Results depend only on how well you answer. Nothing in scoring or winner selection depends on luck, and we do not draw, shuffle or pick winners by any method that is not based on your answers. This is how we keep contests outside the scope of gambling law, including the UK Gambling Act 2005, which treats free-entry skill contests differently from games of chance.
3. Who can take part
You must be 18 or over. Rules for each jurisdiction are held as data, and each decision is recorded with the facts it was based on. If we hold no rules for the place where you live, you cannot take part. Our launch market is the United Kingdom. Void where prohibited. Our staff and the streamer on air may be excluded [exclusions — to be confirmed].
4. How scoring works
Players are ranked in this exact order.
- Total points.
- The number of correct answers.
- Hardness: if you answered correctly questions that more of the audience got wrong, you rank higher.
- The time on our server at which you gave your last correct answer. The earlier time ranks higher.
- Your user identifier, used only so that the order is always complete and never a tie.
We never use response times reported by your device. Only our server's own timestamps count. Every step is a rule applied to recorded answers, so the same answers always produce the same ranking.
5. Prizes
[Prizes, their value and how they are described — to be confirmed. Phase 1 contests may carry no money prize.] Prizes go to the players who rank highest under section 4.
6. Winners
Before we pay a prize we verify the winner's age, eligibility and identity through Stripe Identity. Prizes are paid through Stripe. Winners who cannot be verified cannot be paid. We keep an audit trail of entries, winners and payouts.
7. Fair play
Cheating, using several accounts, automated answering or sharing answers during a contest is not allowed and can lead to disqualification and suspension.
8. Problems and complaints
Write to support@toga.tv if you think a result is wrong. We can check your recorded answers against the ranking order above.
9. Sponsor
Describe IT AB, Sweden [organisation number — to be confirmed] [registered address — to be confirmed].
